China – the country with more than 240 million vehicles on the road and monster traffic jams - seems to be a good place to launch a ridesharing service. UBER entered this market this year, but compared to other markets the highflying company faces stiff competition this time. The biggest rival, called Kuaidi, has already more than 150 million riders in 350 cities and sees their success in cooperation with the governement as well as other factors.
